Made from fresh, premium-quality red onions, this product retains the onion’s natural reddish-purple color and mildly sweet, pungent flavor. It is widely used in spice blends, dry soups, seasoning mixes, bakery products, and processed foods where visual appeal and strong flavor are both desirable.
Fresh, fully matured red onions are sourced from certified farms. The selected onions are free from disease, decay, and pesticide residue. Onions are thoroughly washed to remove dirt and impurities. They are then peeled using mechanical or steam peeling methods to ensure hygiene. The peeled onions are sliced into coarse, kibbled pieces using stainless steel, food-grade cutting machines. The pieces are typically 8–15 mm in size.
The onion pieces are dried using hot air dryers or conveyor-belt systems at carefully regulated temperatures (around 60–70°C). This reduces the moisture content to below 6%, which ensures microbial stability and enhances shelf life. The dried product is passed through a grading system to separate uniform kibbled flakes from fines and oversized pieces.
Products undergo quality checks for color, moisture, microbial load, and taste. The process follows international food safety standards such as FSSAI, HACCP, FDA, and ISO. Final products are packed in double-layered poly-lined kraft paper bags or food-grade HDPE bags to prevent moisture absorption and maintain product quality. Standard packaging sizes range from 10 kg to 20 kg, with custom options available.
