Fresh, sound, and mature white onions are sourced from trusted farms. Onions are thoroughly cleaned using fresh water to remove dirt and impurities. They are then mechanically peeled to remove the outer skin. The peeled onions are chopped uniformly into small cube-like pieces using stainless steel cutting machines to ensure food-grade hygiene and consistent size.
Chopped onions are dehydrated using hot air in continuous belt dryers at carefully controlled temperatures (typically 60–70°C), which helps in preserving flavor and nutritional content while reducing moisture to below 6%. The dried product is screened and graded to remove dust, oversized pieces, and fines, ensuring uniformity in size.
The product undergoes stringent quality checks for microbial safety, physical impurities, moisture content, and adherence to food safety standards like FSSAI, HACCP, or FDA (based on region). The final product is packed in moisture-proof, food-grade poly-lined kraft paper bags or cartons, typically in 10 kg or 20 kg sizes.
